The IV South American Youth Games are getting closer to lighting their flame, and Panama is preparing to welcome them in full force. One of the strongest signs of that readiness came from archery: the discipline has successfully passed its DTI inspection!
The International Technical Delegate, Cristian Tabares, toured the archery venue at Irving Saladino Sports City and not only gave his approval for Panama 2026, but also highlighted the excellent work carried out. He noted that although the venue is compact, it has absolutely everything needed for athletes to compete at the highest level.
Tabares did not hesitate to underscore the importance of this moment:
“It is a historic moment for Panama,”
he said proudly, referring to the country hosting these Games. He also praised the quality of the organizing team, emphasizing that this event could become a springboard for Panama to continue hosting high-level sports competitions in the future.
He also reminded us that these Games are much more than a youth event: this is where future stars are born—athletes who, with discipline and passion, will go on to become Olympians. It is the prelude, the spark, the first big leap toward the Youth Olympic Games.
With the seal of approval from Cristian Tabares, an organization that never slows down, and a motivated country, everything points to Panama 2026 being #NextLevel.
