JSJ Panama 2026

In an atmosphere brimming with environmental commitment and sporting spirit, the Save the Turtles Playa Venao Foundation led an inspiring beach cleanup on the Los Santos coast this Saturday.

The activity was carried out in strategic partnership with the Organizing Committee of the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 at Playa Venao, marking the official prelude to the surfing competitions.

The cleanup not only aimed to remove solid waste from the intertidal zone but also to raise awareness among international delegations and the local community about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems, vital for turtle nesting in the region.

This conservation event serves as the final official act before the waves take center stage. The competition schedule is as follows:

Competition begins: Tomorrow, Monday, April 13.

Venue: Playa Venao, Los Santos Province.

Discipline: Surfing (in its various modalities: Bodyboard, Shortboard, and SUP Race).

With this initiative, Panama 2026 sends a powerful message to the continent: high-performance sport and biodiversity protection must go hand in hand. The Panama 2026 Youth Olympic Games organizers invite fans to attend the competitions tomorrow, always maintaining cleanliness and respect for the natural sanctuary that the Los Santos coast offers as the epicenter of the surfing competition in these games.
