In a match played at the Indoor Stadium of the Luis “Matador” Tejada High Performance Center, Paraguay’s Women’s National Team secured a valuable debut victory by defeating Panama 4-3 in matchday 2 of the Women’s Futsal Group A.
The game delivered an intense and dynamic performance, full of excitement throughout both halves. The hosts took the lead through a goal by LĂa Victoria Zúñiga. Panama maintained its strong start, supported by an outstanding performance from Adryelis Crique between the posts.
The second goal came from the left side, when Danyelis LĂłpez, wearing jersey number 10, finished with precision to extend the lead. During the first half, the home team showed organization, character, and efficiency in front of goal, while Paraguay, despite having more possession and chances, failed to convert.
In the second half, the dynamic changed. Paraguay returned to the court with greater intensity and managed to equalize through goals by Jenni Torres and Luján Ortiz. Minutes later, Larissa Velázquez scored the decisive goal, completing the Guaranà comeback. In the closing stages, Milena Villagra sealed the result with the fourth goal, securing a hard-fought and celebrated victory for Paraguay in their opening match.
