
Paraguay is ready to compete AT ANOTHER LEVEL. More than 140 athletes were officially presented at the Paraguayan Olympic Park as part of Team Paraguay, which will take part in the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, in a ceremony filled with pride, emotion, and a vision for the future.
The event brought together national authorities, sports officials, families, and media, marking the beginning of the journey toward a new international competition. The ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, and the President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and IOC member, Camilo Pérez López Moreira, who delivered messages of support and motivation to the young delegation.
Team Paraguay will be made up of more than 140 athletes competing in a wide range of disciplines, including aquatic sports, athletics, basketball, boxing, cycling, fencing, football, futsal, golf, judo, karate, weightlifting, wrestling, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, archery, triathlon, and chess.
One of the most significant moments of the night was the designation of the flag bearers: Catalina Delmás, representing tennis, and Jhosías Núñez, a football standout, who will have the honor of carrying the Paraguayan flag during the opening ceremony in Panama. Both athletes symbolize talent, discipline, and the future of Paraguayan sport, becoming the faces of a generation that dreams big.
Paraguay reaffirms its commitment to the development of youth sports. Led by Delmás and Núñez, the country is preparing to compete with pride and determination at the South American Youth Games Panama 2026, ready to prove that its new generation is built to shine AT ANOTHER LEVEL.
