JSJ Panama 2026

The torch of the South American Youth Games Panama 2026 arrived in the streets of La Chorrera, where a large number of children and athletes showed up for this lighting ceremony and relay that represents the strength of sport, education, and sustainability.

Our mascot “Anton” set foot on Chorreran soil, where he enjoyed being with those present during the relay, which began at Plaza Italia, continued along Avenida Libertadores, passed through Avenida Las Américas, and concluded at Parque Libertadores.

The athletes responsible for carrying the torch were Ericka González (fencing), Erick Sanjur (fencing), Mia Peralta (karate), David Rodríguez (karate), Debbie Villareal (swimming), René Olmedo (football), Alexa Camarena (volleyball), and André Tapia (swimming). They were surrounded by young champions and enthusiasts of various sports disciplines.

With great pride, the athletes reflected on their faces the joy of representing their province in these historic IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026.
