The South American Youth Games are a multidisciplinary sporting event featuring athletes aged 14 to 17 from across the region. They are organized by the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR).

They were officially created on May 25, 2012, and are held every four years, the year prior to the Youth Olympic Games. Their first edition took place in Lima, Peru, in September 2013, with competitions in 19 sports.
