JSJ Panama 2026

The road to the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 is officially underway. This
Monday, the official country draw took place, during which the group stage matchups for the
different disciplines were defined, marking a key milestone in the competition’s journey.


The draw was held in an atmosphere full of excitement and anticipation and was attended by
Emilio Wong, Director of Sports Technique of the Organizing Committee, along with Fabio
Ramírez, ODESUR’s Director of Technical Development, who supported and validated the
technical process of the event.


Also present were the International Technical Directors (ITDs) of the sports included in the
draw, reinforcing the transparency and sporting rigor of the process:


José Isaac Fuentes, women’s and men’s football
Ángel Sabio, women’s and men’s futsal
Esteban Carrasco, baseball
Javier L’Episcopo, women’s and men’s flag football


The event was further highlighted by the presence of renowned figures from the sports world,
who brought inspiration, closeness, and a special energy to the draw. Among them were Arlen
Hernández, professional women’s football player; Arianys Argüelles, professional women’s
futsal player; Agapito Barrios, former professional baseball player; and flag football athletes
Denis Allen and Ana Paula De León.


With the groups now set, teams begin shaping their strategies and preparing for a
competition that promises intensity, talent, and excitement across every discipline.
