The archery field is preparing to stand out at the 2026 South American Youth Games in Panama, with a venue nearly ready and a competition set to be experienced AT THE NEXT LEVEL. This discipline will feature two modalities: recurve and compound. In compound, athletes will compete at a distance of 50 meters, while recurve will be held at 60 meters, testing precision and control.
The Archery Sport Manager, Oswar Saavedra, highlighted the progress of the venue:
“The archery center is 95% complete, the furniture for athletes, staff, and judges has already been finalized. We will have 9 international judges, in addition to DTI, cameras, and platforms. The sport presentation control area is already complete.”
He also emphasized the country’s potential in this discipline:
“We invite everyone to come and watch this modality. Panama has great potential for these South American Games, it will surprise many, and they will be AT THE NEXT LEVEL.”
With a venue practically finished and a high level of competition ahead, archery promises to be one of the standout disciplines at Panama 2026.
