Panama and Paraguay played out an exciting draw in futsal at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, in a festive atmosphere at the Luis “Matador” Tejada High Performance Center.
The match started with high intensity and a completely full crowd, with both fan bases showing up in full force. Paraguay took the initiative and managed to go ahead on the scoreboard, at times showing greater clarity in attack.
Panama responded with determination and managed to level the game, competing toe-to-toe and even controlling the tempo in several stretches. Matías Acosta opened the scoring for Paraguay after a deflection, but José Almoguea equalized for the hosts, sparking euphoria in the venue.
The draw left positive feelings for Panama, which in its first participation in this category showed personality and competitive level, in a day marked by a full house and an outstanding sporting atmosphere.
