Within the framework of the South American Youth Games, Paraguay’s national team secured an important 3-1 victory over Panama in the group stage of the men’s football tournament.

The match, played on April 13 at the High Performance Center football field, began with high intensity from the Paraguayan side, which opened the scoring early thanks to a goal by Osmar Sosa in the 2nd minute. Paraguay maintained control of the game and extended their lead in the second half with a goal from Arián Reyes in the 59th minute.

Panama responded by pulling one back in the 72nd minute through Joseph Choy, giving the Canalero side a brief boost. However, Osmar Sosa struck again to seal the win with his second goal of the match in the 76th minute.

With this result, Paraguay earns valuable points in Group A, while Panama will need to reassess its strategy in the upcoming matches to remain in contention.
