With the aim of celebrating Panamanian culture and paying tribute to the talent of its people, the Organizing Committee of the IV South American Youth Games decided to go beyond the conventional and make a meaningful difference in one of the most special moments for athletes: the podium.
For this 2026 Panama edition, the organizers chose to move away from the traditional mascot plush toy and instead embrace an innovative proposal rich in identity. The result is a wooden statuette of Antón, the official Games mascot, entirely handcrafted by Panamanian artisans, who infused each piece with their creativity, dedication, and national pride
More than just a souvenir, this statuette will become a lasting symbol that accompanies athletes alongside their medal, representing not only their effort and sacrifice, but also Panama’s cultural spirit. A unique, authentic, and soulful detail that elevates this experience to Another Level .
