In a day where maximum concentration, technique, and focus on the table tennis court were on full display, female and male athletes from Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, and Ecuador competed in the IV South American Youth Games Panamá 2026.
Girl’s Table Tennis – Dakota Ferrer wins the gold medal

“This crucial stage began with the women’s singles semifinals, where Brazil’s Lana Ozeki defeated Colombia’s Ana Gómez 4–0. In the second matchup, Dakota Ferrer overcame Isabel Amorin 4–2. These results set up the finals.
In an emotional final, Venezuela’s Dakota Ferrer defeated Brazil’s Lana Ozeki 4–1 to claim the gold medal. Meanwhile, Ozeki secured the silver medal”.
Men’s Table Tennis – Sebastián Bedoya wins the gold medal

The ITSE venue shone once again during the men’s table tennis semifinals, where competitors from Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, and Colombia showcased their best skills in pursuit of gold.
In the men’s singles semifinal, Peru’s Kaiji Takeda secured a 4-0 victory over Ecuador’s Juan González. Meanwhile, at table 1, an electrifying match took place where Colombia’s Sebastián Bedoya took the lead and won 4-3 against Brazil’s Davi Fujii.
In the final, Colombia’s Sebastián Bedoya claimed the gold medal after defeating Peru’s Keiji Takeda 4-1, raising Colombia’s flag high at the IV South American Youth Games Panamá 2026.
