Boxing experienced an intense day at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, with key semifinal and quarterfinal matchups that are shaping the fight for the medals.

In the women’s 54 kg category, Eudaliz Rodríguez (Venezuela) defeated Evelyn Trejos (Colombia) with authority 5-0, while Sabrina Lima (Brazil) overcame Ashley Cerrud (Panama). In the women’s 60 kg division, Giuliana Velásquez (Bolivia) beat Lis Núñez (Uruguay) 5-0, and Maira Santos (Brazil) defeated Edmar Muñoz (Venezuela) 4-0, securing her place in the final.

In the men’s division, the 55 kg category saw winners Jeremías Manzelli (Argentina), who defeated Beymar López (Bolivia) 4-1, and Gustavo Domingues (Brazil), with a dominant 5-0 win over Izzon Galea (Colombia).

In the 65 kg category, Daniel Barnabé (Brazil) dominated Franco Ledesma (Uruguay) 5-0, while Stiven Galvis (Colombia) did the same against Gabriel Marcano (Venezuela), also winning 5-0.

Meanwhile, in the men’s 80 kg category (quarterfinals), Santino Zilli (Argentina) advanced after defeating Carlos Cáceres (Chile), Luis Indriago (Venezuela) beat Claudio Santos (Brazil), and Dahel Abrines (Uruguay) won a close bout 3-2 against César Avellaneda (Peru).
