Brazil stole the spotlight in swimming at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, delivering a historic session with multiple South American records.

The standout athlete was Davi Vallim, who set a new South American record in the men’s 50-meter backstroke with a time of 25.86 seconds, dominating the event from the early stages. Meanwhile, Kauã Santos also made his mark by breaking the South American record in the 100-meter breaststroke, stopping the clock at 1:01.66 and reinforcing Brazil’s dominance in the pool.

The winning streak didn’t stop there. Celso Ferreira joined the celebration by setting a new South American record in the 100-meter freestyle, further confirming Brazil’s absolute control in one of the most demanding swimming events.

With these performances, Brazil is establishing itself as a powerhouse in Panama 2026.
