
The celebration of the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 continues, and this time the first mixed team bronze medalists in archery were determined, with Colombia and Peru stepping onto the South American podium at the Archery Stadium of the Irving Saladino Sports City.
Bronze for Colombia in Mixed Recurve
The Colombian team won the bronze medal in the archery discipline in the Mixed Recurve category. The Colombian archers Juana Cardona and Nicolas Gómez defeated the Chilean team composed of Sabrina Núñez and Lucas Jamett by 6-0
In the gold medal match, Colombia and Ecuador will face each other on April 18, where only one team will raise their flag at the top of the South American podium.
Bronze for Peru in Mixed Compound
The Peruvian Mixed Compound team secured the bronze medal in archery against Chile. The protagonists of this victory were Avril Santa Cruz and Kenshi Atto, who won with a score of 143–140 against the Chilean team composed of Javiera Chacón and Oscar Verdugo.
