Women’s judo brought the curtain down on the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 with an intense final day of competition in the -78 kg category, where Brazil took center stage.

Brazilian athlete Clarisse Vallim won the gold medal after defeating Colombia’s Sharol Angulo in a closely contested final, with Angulo taking silver. Also on the podium were Peru’s Prizzila Lam and Venezuela’s Saori Mattey, both securing bronze medals after winning their respective bouts.

With this result, judo concluded its participation at Panama 2026, delivering high-level contests and confirming Brazil’s dominance on the decisive day.
