
The men’s triathlon
was one of the most demanding events of the day at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026, where Chile claimed the gold medal after a strong performance.
Raimundo Vicente San MartĂn Naranjo secured the victory for Chile with a time of 57:32, setting the pace in a very tight competition from start to finish. The silver medal went to Brazil’s Alejandro Juanuk, who crossed the finish line in 57:49, while the bronze also went to Brazil, with Eduardo Staniascki Gonçalves recording a time of 57:51.
Just off the podium was Venezuela’s Aaron JesĂşs Hernández Morales with 57:52, followed by Chile’s Enrique Pau. Further behind finished Arturo Maximiliano Peching San Román (Peru), JerĂłnimo Vargas Moreno (Colombia), and AgustĂn Wendler Kossmann (Argentina), in a race that remained intense until the very end.
With this result, Chile celebrates a key gold medal in triathlon, in a high-level day where Brazil also stood out by placing two athletes on the podium.
