A day filled with speed, adrenaline, and impeccable technique, the Colombian mixed team won the gold medal in the mixed team table tennis final, held at the modern facilities of ITSE (Higher Technical Institute of Specialized Studies), a key secondary venue of the IV South American Youth Games.

The Colombian team confirmed its continental dominance in the discipline after a series of high-intensity matches, where coordination and speed were decisive in overcoming their rivals: Paraguay 3-1, Ecuador 3-2, Panama 3-0, Venezuela 3-2, Brazil 3-2, and Peru 3-1 in today’s grand final.

The competition, which brought together the best youth talents from the region, left the following medal standings:

🥉Bronze Medals: Argentina and Brazil

The Peruvian team took the silver medal after a highly contested final that was decided in the final sets, losing 1-3, demonstrating the notable growth of Peruvian table tennis. Meanwhile, the regional powerhouses Argentina and Brazil shared the third step of the podium, earning bronze medals after falling 1-3 to Peru and 2-3 to Colombia respectively.
