In the 51kg category, Venezuela’s Grenyelis García opened the session with a unanimous decision (5-0) over Panama’s Lia Córdoba. Brazil’s Elissandra Santos followed with another strong performance, defeating Peru’s Halana Farfán to book her place in the next round.

Power and dominance were evident in the 57kg division, where Brazil’s Sara Dos Santos and Argentina’s Melanie Acevedo both won their bouts by RSC (Referee Stops Contest) in the first round, showcasing overwhelming technical superiority.
