The swimming competitions are progressing at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 at the Luis “Matador” Tejada High Performance Center Aquatic Complex, where different swimming events are taking place during the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026

In a morning where athletes from Aruba, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Curaçao, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, and host country Panama gathered.

At each dive into the pool, they were seen full of confidence to demonstrate their skill and preparation, boosted by the support of the public, as well as the presence of Miguel Ordóñez, director of Pandeportes, who visited the facilities and was able to witness part of the competition. Panama was present with flags and cheering, living every second with the characteristic passion of the event, which remained highly competitive throughout the qualifying day.

Argentina stood out, with athletes achieving first place in the women’s and men’s 100m backstroke. Brazil took first place in the women’s 200m breaststroke category, and Venezuela secured places among the top positions in the women’s 100m backstroke and 200m freestyle events.

In the final event of the morning session, Panama was disqualified in the men’s 4x100m medley relay category

The final session will take place at 18:00 (local time), when the finals of the different disciplines will be held, where athletes will compete for the South American gold medals.
