JSJ Panama 2026

At 11:47 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, with a total of 46 athletes from 11 countries participating, the final of the Men’s Road Cycling race took place. Maximum concentration and the dream of conquering the finish line were treasured in the heart of each young athlete, in their mindset and strength on every lap they completed on the track of Cinta Costera 3 under the sun of Panama City.

The countries present in the Men’s Road Cycling final were Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

It was a challenging race, where Aparicio Caraballo and Lorencio Aquino abandoned the competition on the ninth lap, and in the final stretch a considerable group of athletes dropped out due to crashes in the penultimate straight and final corner.

The cycling winner was Venezuelan Edward Emanuel Ayala Arellano with a time of 2:38:38, in a powerful final sprint.

Second place went to Brazilian Pedro Lucas Dourado Da Silva, who finished with a minimal difference and a time of 2:38:38. Danilo Silva Araujo Gomes of Brazil, with a thousandth-of-a-second difference and a time of 2:38:38, completed the podium, earning the bronze medal at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026.
