“Beyond Gold: Lessons in Discipline and Resilience”

In this panel, we had former international athletes who shared stories, experiences, and anecdotes from their careers as competitors representing their countries and sports.

The panelist Inés Remersaro shared with the audience how, during her youth, she was able to obtain study scholarships in the United States, which allowed her to study and train in swimming while maintaining balance. This helped her become a professional, and thanks to those opportunities she was able to achieve her personal goals and dreams.

The main purpose of the conference was to provide support to the new generation of athletes, showing that it is possible to study while continuing to grow in their sports disciplines. Likewise, it is very important for athletes to have the support of family and close friends for their mental health.

We can highlight the importance of athletes’ mental health, maintaining good nutrition, diets, and training routines that support both physical and mental well being. Professional education is essential for life after retirement in the future.
