
The morning session of flag football made it clear who is setting the pace at the 2026 South American Youth Games in Panama, with dominant victories from early on.
In the men’s division, Panama opened the day with a crushing 51-0 win over Uruguay, showing total control in every phase of the game. Then Brazil made a strong statement by defeating Argentina 56-14, highlighting their offensive power. Later, the Brazilians dominated once again with a 54-0 victory over Uruguay, establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the group.
In the women’s division, Panama also stood out with a solid 56-0 win against Venezuela, reaffirming their level and their status as title contenders.
With such decisive results in the morning, Brazil and Panama are shaping up to be the main protagonists in flag football, in a competition that is beginning to take form on the road to the medal rounds.
