A challenging course, closely contested matches across all eighteen holes, and a sun that forced each competitor to push themselves on every yard that’s how athletes described the first day of Golf at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026.
In this discipline, 32 golfers from 10 nations competed, including 13 women and 19 men.

The participating countries were Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia.
It is important to highlight that the competition format is divided into three categories: Men’s Individual, Women’s Individual, and Mixed Team.
All three competitions will be played over 72 holes.
Golf began on Tuesday the 21st and will run through Friday, April 24.
