Tennis closed the curtain at the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026 with a final day full of decisive matches on the stadium court.

In the men’s singles, Dante Pagani claimed the gold medal after defeating his compatriot Benjamín Chelia in a very competitive final, with scores of 7-6 and 5-1. The Argentine arrived as the main favorite, backed by his position among the top junior players in the world. Peru’s Nicolás Baena took the bronze after defeating Pedro Chabalgoity.

In the women’s draw, Sol Larraya was crowned champion after a commanding win over Chile’s Camila Rodero by 6–0 and 6–4, showing a high level from start to finish. The bronze medal went to Yleymi Muelle of Peru, highlighting the strong performance of the Peruvian tennis delegation.

The event concluded with the mixed doubles, where the Brazilian duo Eduarda Carbone and Leonardo Storck won the gold medal after defeating Uruguay’s Sofía Barbosa and Felipe Vázquez. Paraguay secured the bronze with Catalina Delmas and Álvaro Frutos.

With this, tennis concluded its participation in Panama 2026, leaving Argentina and Brazil as the main protagonists on the final day of competition.
